Roller Fun!

Working with felt is just one of the greatest things! The material is very easy to work with, it comes in great colours and you can make almost anything! Yesterday I tried my luck on a new trendy keychain. The detailing was quite time consuming, but I love the result!

Bling Bling....

My little girl just loves bling bling. She asked me to decorate her new sneakers. With some Gem-Tac and crystal Rhinestones (size 20) I whipped up these. At first I thought it would take me a lot of time and effort to finish them. But it only took 2 hours to complete them. Tomorrow I will post the finished pair!

Fast Finish Decoupage

Today I've tried out one of our new Beacon products. As I had a little birdhouse laying around for quite some time, I decided to give it a go. First I made a selection from my Eskimo Kisses paper pad to decorate the birdhouse with. I was surprised how easy it was to apply to the wood. Apart from wood it can be used on many types of surfaces like
plastic, glass, paper mache, cardboard, ceramics, metal and more. You can create wonderful gifts and great home decor items such as jewelry boxes, pottery, picture frames, decorative plates and much more. As it is perfectly safe for children to use it's great fun to do a project together! Fast Finish Decoupage is now available in our shop!

I might add some more fun decorations like ribbon, trims, felt flowers, etc.. but here's the result so far...

Britannia rules the waves!

I just love the British Flag also known as the Union Jack. It's a combination of the three flags of the United Kingdom's countries England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The intense color scheme in combination with the great pattern makes this flag a great source of inspiration. Union Jack inspired products are quite popular at the moment and are making a huge impact on
interior designs. However, just stick to only a few items in your interior, do not overdo it! Less is more!

Beautiful Holland!

One of my favourite times of year is Spring Time. Spring flowers are blooming and the sense in the air is fabulous. The beautiful colours of the flower fields surrounding our house are very inspiring to me......

Cupcakes....

This weekend I tried my luck on some cupcakes for a baby shower. Instead of using a heavy
Crème au beurre I used some Royal Icing covered with a typical Dutch decoration "wit met blauwe muisjes". Quite happy with the result!

Cliphanger

My little girl has a big box filled with hairclips. Everyday she is digging through to find a pair of matching clips to complete her outfit. To save her some time in the morning, I made a haircliphanger to store all her favorite hairclips. As of today also available in my webshop. Handmade! Only available in very small numbers to keep them a bit more exclusive.

Heart Swap

In December Annemarie twittered about a Heart Swap organised by Katrien. As it seemed great fun I joined the fun. We were assigned with a Swap Partner and by the beginning of March our hearts had to be sent to our Swap Partner. There was only one requirement, the heart had to have a ribbon attached to it so it could be displayed somewhere around the house! Below a picture of the wonderful gift that Elza sent me. An embroidered heart, a box of heart shaped chocolates (which we ate already), heart tissues and a fun card! Thanks so much!

Tomorrow I will post the hearts that I've sent to my Swap Partner!

Have a great Sunday!!

Beannie Pillow

Today it was sunny ... but icy cold. A great day to start on a special pillow for a little boy! For the pillow itself I used a heavy piece of terry cloth. After having finished the pillow, I picked out several boyish looking scraps of fabric. The cut out letters were then ironed onto the terry and to secure them I sewed them on by using a simple blanket stitch. It turned out wonderful and it was great fun to make!

Followers

Just had some time on my hands to figure out how to add the "Follower" gadget to my Blogspot! You can find it in the upper left corner!

Toadstool Hanger...

The "Love Bird" keychain is finished. A picture will be posted soon!

As it was so much fun making it, I immediately tried another one. With some felt, few scraps of fabric and some Tilda Wintergarden Ribbon I managed to make this cute Toadstool Hanger.
Just add a ring and you can attach it to nearly everything; your bag, keys, make-up bag, etc.... just be creative!
